Guidelines for Undergraduate Student Travel Support
NSF-EPSCoR Undergraduate Research Focal Area

Limited travel funds are available on a competitive basis to the recipients of undergraduate research awards from the NSF-EPSCoR program to travel to national or regional meetings at which the applicant will present a scientific paper or poster.  Students who received an NSF-EPSCoR research award since August of 2006 are eligible for this competition.

Travel may not occur after June 30, 2008.  Complete the travel application form and submit with supporting material by February 29, 2008.

The applications require faculty mentor’s approval and signature.  Note that the requested per diem budget must be within the limits set by the State of Nevada.  Consult your faculty mentor if you need any assistance with the budget.

Questions regarding this competition should be directed to Program Leaders Dr. Saiid Saiidi at UNR (ugresearch@unr.edu) or Dr. John Farley at UNLV (farley@unlv.nevada.edu).

A copy of the letter indicating acceptance of your paper showing your name and paper title and a copy of the program must be included in your request.  Combine the application form and the supporting materials and scan into a single pdf file.  E-MAIL the combined document to the Nevada EPSCoR Office to Ms. Alice Ward at: alice_ward@nshe.nevada.edu.

Important!  Incomplete applications will not be considered for funding.  All successful applicants must submit receipts by July 15, 2008.
