Brief History of Program:
NASA's mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research. In achieving their mission, NASA depends upon the private sector -- industry, educational institutions and other nonprofit organizations -- for the greater part of its research needs. Therefore, NASA encourages the submission of unique and innovative unsolicited proposals which will further the Agency's mission.
Nevada began work with a NASA EPSCoR planning grant in 1999. To date, Nevada has received more than $5 million from NASA EPSCoR.
