Brief History of Program:
The Nevada Collaborative Teaching Improvement Program (NeCoTIP) program is funded by the US Department of Education under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, and replaces the program formerly known as the Dwight D. Eisenhower Program for Professional Development.
NeCoTIP proposals require partnerships between local school districts, faculty from a UCCSN College of Education, and faculty from a UCCSN College of Arts and Science. Equivalent departments in community colleges are also allowed as a partner. Non-Profit Organizations may be included in a proposal as an additional member of a partnership. These workshops will allow an opportunity for members of each group to meet and interact with each other, and thus begin to forge these partnerships.
