Q: I registered, but I haven't received my password yet. What's wrong?
A: The most likely explanations are that your email account is full or you did not provide a valid email address.
Full account - A common reason why people do
not receive an email from us is that their email mailbox is full.
If you have lots of undeleted messages in your account, or a few
messages that take up a lot of memory (like emails with pictures,
music, or video attached to them) your mailbox may be full.
This is often a problem for people with Hotmail accounts
who get lots of unwanted junk email ("spam" messages).
To see if this is a problem, try sending yourself an email. If
you can't get your own email, you can't get any email from us.
After you clear out your unwanted emails have your password sent
to your account again by clicking
here.
Invalid email address - The Criminal Justice
Research Laboratory website will automatically send an email to
whatever email address you registered with. So, if you misspell
your email address, or put in an email address for an old account
that no longer works, it will be impossible for you to receive
the email from us with your password.
In addition, email addresses do not start with "www."
If you entered an email address as www.johndoe@something.com,
you entered an invalid email address. It should have been entered
without the "www" (e.g., johndoe@something.com).
If you think you have entered the wrong email address, please
contact the CRJ Lab Supervisor at (702) 895-0206
and we will resolve the problem for you.
Busy Server - Finally, sometimes it may take a few minutes for your password to be sent to you if either the university server or your email provider's server is busy or down for maintenance. If more than 24 hours have passed and you have not received an email, your account is probably full or you did not enter a valid email address.
