Midterm 1
Results from this test were somewhat disappointing, although the test was fair, and a few high grades were scored. The high score was 95, the average was 64.5, the standard deviation was 15.6, and the median was 64. While the average was slightly better than a very similar test I gave last year, the median grade was significantly lower, meaning the majority of people did worse.
Keeping in mind the curve discussed in the course syllabus, and performance on homework, most people are doing OK. Improvement will be needed by some in the remaining midterm and final.
