1. Divide into groups of four and choose an island from the following:

• JAMAICA
• TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
• MARTINIQUE
• ARUBA

Videographer            You will capture the image of the island on videocamera.
Cultural specialist    You will investigate the web as seen through the eyes of a local person - giving the 'inside scoop' and tips on places to visit, where to eat, live events etc.
Technologist             You will work with members of the group to produce computer reports and investigate search engines.
Reporter                    Chronicle and report the events.

3.     BRAINSTORM ACTIVITY

In your group brainstorm how you will find out about the influence on culture and traditions in the West Indies.
a.    Share your ideas with other team members.
b.    Find out what it means to each member of your group.
c.    Write down steps to take in the project.

4.    ACTION PLAN

• Define your roles.
• Write up a plan of action.
• Decide responsibilities of each team member.
• Assign a timetable of events.  Prepare daily/weekly agenda.
• Decide on what materials you need.
• Decide on what topics you need to learn – word-processing, spreadsheets, Internet search engines.
• Decide on what resources you need – camera, camcorder, poster board, paper, pens, pencils, cassette recorder,  etc.
• Each team member writes an action plan.
• Assign deadlines to meet objectives on daily and weekly basis.
• Refine wordprocess and create spreadsheets.
• Put together final reports and oral presentations.
