Job Description

As the geographer, you will explore the various regions
of the country, including the outback region.  You will
report on the landforms and features of the land.

Questions to Consider:
 

• What are the major regions of the country?
• How is the country organized? (states, provinces, territories, regions)
• What are the major cities?  Where are they located?
• What are the most populated areas?  least populated?
• What is the land like?  (desert, forest, steppe, tropical)
• What is the outback like?
• What is the population of Australia?  What is the population of the major cities?
• How much precipitation does the country receive?
• What are the major landforms?
• What are the natural features of the land?
• Who lives on the land?  What cultures exist in Australia?
• How is the land/water used?  (farming, fishing, mining)
