Each group will create one final project for presentation to the rest of the class.  The project consists of two parts:

Part I.   You will take action to advance your group's perspective on the issue of balancing the various positions examined.  Your group will write a letter to a Hawaiian lawmaker proposing one or more suggestions or laws governing the management of introduced species and the protection of endangered species in Hawaii.  The letter should express your group's viewpoint on balancing the perspectives of the various groups examined in this WebQuest.  You can choose to change an existing law (or laws), or you can suggest a new law (or laws) that specifies what you believe Hawaiians should do to balance the needs of conservationalists, environmentalists, native hunters, and animal rights activists, and the various perspectives you examined.

Part II.  Create a group presentation for the rest of the class that addresses the following issues and questions:

Your presentation can be a multimedia presentation, a report (two to three pages, double-spaced), a debate, a skit, a work of art, or whatever means you think would effectively communicate why the species you researched are important, why they are endangered, and what can be done to protect them.
