Cartographers Packet (2 positions):

territory we cannot afford to get lost” explained the leader. We must know
where we are at all times. We may not be aware of what is ahead of us,
but we have to be able to find our way back. “ The leader looked directly
at the two mapmakers stating, “It is your responsibility to see that we
aren’t traveling East; when we should be going West.” So here is what you
do to get ready for this role.

First you will be assigned a
buddy.

the role of mapmakers.

When you have finished your mapmaking study
you are to draw a map of the school playground. Be sure to label all equipment:
sliding boards, jungle gym, etc. and show their exact location. Also you
must indicate the entrance, exit and special areas for hopscotch, jump
rope, etc. Finally your map must be oriented.
