Education:
I have a B.S. in Math (with an Education emphasis) from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and an M.S. in Mathematics & a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Statistics from Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana.

Experience:
I have been teaching full-time at the College of Southern Nevada since the Fall of 1996. At CSN, I am the webmaster for the Math Department, a member of the Faculty Senate, the Treasurer for the Nevada Faculty Alliance (both State and CSN Chapters), and the Southern Vice-President & Treasurer for the Nevada Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, as well as participating in various other committees at the College.

I am one of a few individuals at CSN who has had administrator rights to CSN's WebCT, meaning I often help others create and modify courses at the College. For the online math courses at CSN, I have written parts of several sections of MATH 091, 093, 095, 096, 097, 100B, 120, 122, and 123. Additionally, I have written web-based supplements for several math books published by Prentice Hall.

Interests:
I love helping students learn. Like I constantly tell my students, although I have spent many years as a college student and have learned a great deal, I never claim to be smarter than anyone. I firmly believe that any person willing to put forth the time and effort needed can accomplish everything that I have done. In most cases, this will also require one to step back and keep an eye on the big picture. This is true in math as well as life. In other words, don't stand so close to the trees that you can't see the forest.

Finally, I am always actively searching for interesting, relevant, and interactive web sites that can be used in mathematics, so if you have anything you would like to add to that list, please send me the URL.
