Welcome to my website. I want my students to know several things about me. First, I am obliged ethically to provide my students with quality instruction and to hold them accountable in the learning process. I take this obligation very seriously. My job is to help you improve, which means that I will point out your academic inadequacies.
That being said, every student who wishes to succeed in my course should commit to working hard and taking copious notes. I recommend that students review before and after class; work problems and review notes regularly; and organize a study partner or group and meet frequently.
Students should be prepared not only for class meetings, but for the course in general. Please pay careful attention to my prerequisite information page and the corresponding handouts.
Lastly, please visit my office hours for questions and clarification. I will be here to support your effort. The reward for success will be tremendous, as you will gain important and powerful knowledge in mathematics that will arm you for a competitive world - the real world. I want my students to succeed.
"Don't waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it."
--- Ralph Waldo Emerson
